Athlete's Foot

Scaling, itchy, red rashes around the edges of the feet or between the toes is usually caused by a fungal infection commonly called athlete’s foot.   Many over the counter creams, lotions, spray or powders are  helpful in controlling the rash but it tends to recur if the feet are sweaty or if shoes are constantly worn resulting in lack of ventilation of the skin.

An alternative is to wear cotton socks and sandals to allow proper ventilation of the feet.
