Eczema is an allergic condition affecting the skin with intense itching, redness and scaling.  Some people are also affected with hayfever or asthma.   The allergic cause is often not identified but common sensitizers include foods like eggs, dairy, citrus, nuts, or airborne pollen from trees or grass.
