Scarring

Damage to the middle layer of the skin, called the dermis, results in scarring.   A surgical scar will usually improve with oral vitamin C 3000 mg a day for 3 months, provided a quality vitamin is used beginning the day of surgery.   Scars from dog bites, accidents, acne, burns, keloids, and other trauma usually improve with time but cosmetic results are often not ideal.  The earlier a scar is treated, the better the outcome.

There are several homeopathic treatments for scars, so a consultation is required.
